I think i'm just really in the mood for procrastination. Mid-sem exams and assessments are coming up and I really can't be bothered preparing for all this clerkship business (I'm sure i will be regretting it later). Anyway, here are some photos from my trip to Hong Kong and Shanghai last July... Can't believe it has been a month already!

Warning: this post is very picture heavy and you may get sick of seeing my face in almost every picture.

Melbourne photo diary.
  1. Dinner at Gingerboy; Food and ambience of the restaurant was great! A must try is the son in law eggs, they're so very yummy and uniquely made for people that love eggs. It started pouring as we left the restaurant so had to cab it to Crown casino. Nothing special at Crown, but it's definitely more grand than The Star.
  2. Hosier Lane aka graffiti lane; this is a pretty bad photo considering my eyes are closed and all, but the composition of it looks pretty nice with the zig zag stairs in the background.
  3. Flinders Street Station; Public transport in Melbourne was surprisingly easy use. Trains in particular was pretty straightforward and arrived more frequently than ones in Sydney. Trams however did get a bit confusing for me but then I figured out that they only operate in a straight line.
  4. Federation Square; those grass cubes are so cute! Visited the ACMI to check out a few exhibitions.
  5. Melbourne Central; I think everyone that visits Melbourne will take a photo similar to this. It is pretty cool but didn't linger around Melbourne Central for too long as most of the shops there weren't that great. I did however try Lord of the Fries there and it was pretty decent.
  6. Dinner at Cutler & Co; The food was pretty spectacular but too bad I was bloated from drinking too much cider! I loved the chocolate and salted caramel icecream sandwich though, all my favourite things in one dish. Photo also features my $6 Hello Kitty wannabe iPhone case from eBay that ripped :( so sad, now I have to find a replacement.
  7. Brunch at Hardware Societe; The tiny pan in which my scrabbled eggs was in is just too cute!
  8. I actually forgot where this is but it's the park near Melbourne Museum. The exhibitions at Melbourne Museum were interesting but I was so horrified at the bugs and insects section where they had a cabinet full of cockroaches and spiders and all the crawly things I hate.
  9. Dinner at Movida Aqui; Food was mediocre, nothing to rave about. I did enjoy the potato balls featured in the picture, but then again I like all things made out of potato.
  10. Royal Arcade; Being touristy and taking photos around Bourke St and GPO.
  11. Eureka Skydeck; The views at night of Melbourne is breathtaking! I'm a bit too happy looking posing with my Ben & Jerry icecream featuring night view of Melbourne in the background.
  12. Topshop; I was so excited going into Topshop, I swear I spent half my Melbourne trip inside Topshop browsing and trying on items. I found prices overall to be pretty decent but it's definitely a bit more pricier than the website but they do offer 10% off for students. The sales staff informed me that the Sydney Topshop is due to open in August 2012 and it'll be 3 levels, so much bigger than the Melbourne store which is only 1 level.

Lastly for those of you that are looking for the Alexander Wang Rocco with rosegold hardware, it is now back in stock on Shopbop and they also have the Diego in rosegold too!

Lover Dress, Miu Miu Heels
M wearing: Dress, Topshop Necklace, Christian Louboutin Heels

It's been a month now since I've posted anything. I've been too preoccupied with work, roadtrip and my short Melbourne holiday. I've been good recently and haven't made any new additions to my wardrobe but instead cleared half my wardrobe by eBaying and hosting a small stall at UNSW.

So last month, my lovely girlfriends and I dined at Peter Gilmore's infamous Quay Restaurant. We were all pleasantly surprised by the quality, texture and presentation of the dishes. My favourite is probably the snow egg, even though initially I didn't quite like it but the more bites I took the better it tasted.

Will post about my Melbourne trip and my Topshop loot sometime next week!

Miss Unkon top, Alice Mccall shorts, H&M belt, Zipia necklace, Chanel flats, Miu Miu bracelet and bag

A posing with lego man

Chanel Two Toned Black/Beige Flats

Another new addition to my growing shoe collection. I do believe that purchasing luxury items overseas is much more affordable due to the strong Aussie Dollar and we get the benefit of getting our VAT back in European countries. Many thanks to M for purchasing these on my behalf in Spain!

Last week, A and I caught up over brunch at Bills and went to see The Art of the Brick exhibition at Sydney Townhall. The exhibition was intriguing and bought back memories of childhood lego-playing days.

I just realised that the outfit in M's last post is practically identical to my outfit in this post! We did both purchase the same shorts from the Alice Mccall sale last week hehe..

Here are the purchases I made during exam period. I definitely shouldn't be buying any more shoes in the next few months!
  1. Vintage Moschino Belt
  2. Miu Miu Suede Pump - love the curved heel!
  3. Ferragamo Varina in Beige Patent
  4. Zara Heels

There's been no news of the opening date of Topshop Sydney but Topshop Melbourne is set to open on the 8th of December. Now there's one extra thing to look forward to when I go on my trip to Melbourne in February.

Miu Miu bow-embellished halterneck bikini
I get super excited whenever I see the DHL person at my doorstep. It feels like my birthday whenever I receive parcels and I think that it might be one of the causes of my online shopping addiction. So when Net-a-porter emailed me earlier this week with a 50pound voucher, I went onto the website and started frantically browsing. This Miu Miu bikini was on the top of my want list as summer is fast approaching. I spent a few minutes tossing up between going for the navy or the blush colourway and ended up getting the navy. I don't think blush will look good on my pasty skin, even though it is the prettiest colour. Time to start my exercise regime to shed the winter weight so I can prance around the beach in my new bikini!

Brunch at Bar Indigo Double Bay

Zara shirt, ASOS leather skirt, Chanel flats and MiuMiu bag
My sister in fahrenheit top and maxi skirt, Sportsgirl necklace and Chanel bag
Eel skin bag from Love & Luck

Had Sunday afternoon brunch with my sister at Bar Indigo in Double Bay. It's my favourite brunch destination and the breakfast bruschetta is absolutely the best! Whilst shopping in Bondi Junction Westfield, I picked up a fuchsia eel skin clutch from Love and Luck, located where the emerging designer markets are. It's a perfect size and there's a strap included too... I just love the colour !

American Apparel Sweater, Zipia Dress & Shoes, Make Believe Necklace, Miu Miu Bracelet, Miu Miu Bag

Had a food-filled day yesterday. Went to the Fish markets with M & C for lunch (not pictured) then headed to The Rocks for an early dinner with J at Sake. The food was pretty good, I particularly liked the Chirashi salad which was a nice combination of sashimi, noodles, egg and tempura. Dessert is a must have for me, especially during winter so we headed to Bay Vista at Brighton Le Sands for icecream and drinks. Excuse the slightly blurry outfit photo, it was extremely windy when the picture was taken.
