New additions to my wardrobe. The first two I purchased on sale this week and the last three were gifts given to me by my dear friends :)

On the hunt at the moment for a faux fur coat or a shearling coat. Will update if I do find one!

Melbourne photo diary.
  1. Dinner at Gingerboy; Food and ambience of the restaurant was great! A must try is the son in law eggs, they're so very yummy and uniquely made for people that love eggs. It started pouring as we left the restaurant so had to cab it to Crown casino. Nothing special at Crown, but it's definitely more grand than The Star.
  2. Hosier Lane aka graffiti lane; this is a pretty bad photo considering my eyes are closed and all, but the composition of it looks pretty nice with the zig zag stairs in the background.
  3. Flinders Street Station; Public transport in Melbourne was surprisingly easy use. Trains in particular was pretty straightforward and arrived more frequently than ones in Sydney. Trams however did get a bit confusing for me but then I figured out that they only operate in a straight line.
  4. Federation Square; those grass cubes are so cute! Visited the ACMI to check out a few exhibitions.
  5. Melbourne Central; I think everyone that visits Melbourne will take a photo similar to this. It is pretty cool but didn't linger around Melbourne Central for too long as most of the shops there weren't that great. I did however try Lord of the Fries there and it was pretty decent.
  6. Dinner at Cutler & Co; The food was pretty spectacular but too bad I was bloated from drinking too much cider! I loved the chocolate and salted caramel icecream sandwich though, all my favourite things in one dish. Photo also features my $6 Hello Kitty wannabe iPhone case from eBay that ripped :( so sad, now I have to find a replacement.
  7. Brunch at Hardware Societe; The tiny pan in which my scrabbled eggs was in is just too cute!
  8. I actually forgot where this is but it's the park near Melbourne Museum. The exhibitions at Melbourne Museum were interesting but I was so horrified at the bugs and insects section where they had a cabinet full of cockroaches and spiders and all the crawly things I hate.
  9. Dinner at Movida Aqui; Food was mediocre, nothing to rave about. I did enjoy the potato balls featured in the picture, but then again I like all things made out of potato.
  10. Royal Arcade; Being touristy and taking photos around Bourke St and GPO.
  11. Eureka Skydeck; The views at night of Melbourne is breathtaking! I'm a bit too happy looking posing with my Ben & Jerry icecream featuring night view of Melbourne in the background.
  12. Topshop; I was so excited going into Topshop, I swear I spent half my Melbourne trip inside Topshop browsing and trying on items. I found prices overall to be pretty decent but it's definitely a bit more pricier than the website but they do offer 10% off for students. The sales staff informed me that the Sydney Topshop is due to open in August 2012 and it'll be 3 levels, so much bigger than the Melbourne store which is only 1 level.

Lastly for those of you that are looking for the Alexander Wang Rocco with rosegold hardware, it is now back in stock on Shopbop and they also have the Diego in rosegold too!

Lover Dress, Miu Miu Heels
M wearing: Dress, Topshop Necklace, Christian Louboutin Heels

It's been a month now since I've posted anything. I've been too preoccupied with work, roadtrip and my short Melbourne holiday. I've been good recently and haven't made any new additions to my wardrobe but instead cleared half my wardrobe by eBaying and hosting a small stall at UNSW.

So last month, my lovely girlfriends and I dined at Peter Gilmore's infamous Quay Restaurant. We were all pleasantly surprised by the quality, texture and presentation of the dishes. My favourite is probably the snow egg, even though initially I didn't quite like it but the more bites I took the better it tasted.

Will post about my Melbourne trip and my Topshop loot sometime next week!

  1. Spending Christmas Eve with my favourite people A & K
  2. Driving around in search of pretty Christmas decorated houses
  3. We found a massive Santa!
  4. Christmas Day annual tradition of exchanging presents whilst yumcha-ing at Zilver
  5. After yumcha we headed to Observatory Hotel for our day spa treatments, I chose a La Prairie facial and a Volcanic massage with hot stones. This Polaroid was taken after our treatments so we look very fresh and clean haha.
  6. Presents from myself to myself. I think I spent way too much on presents this year.
  7. Presents from A & K. K got me the Nintendo DSi and now I've been obsessively playing Pokemon Black like a loser. A got me the Q-Pot Minnie Mouse Melty ring, Chanel nail polish and cute blind boxes.
Wishing everyone a super belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Romance Was Born Tee, Lover Shorts, Vintage Moschino Belt, Melissa Flats, Alexander Wang Rocco

Taking a break from studying to post my outfit. This belt is one of my new acquisitions amongst a few other things from evilBay. My credit card always takes a serious beating during exam period.

A little birdie told me that the Louis Vuitton 'mansion' in Sydney will be opening very soon! Word has it that the VIP opening night is on the 29th Nov (too bad I'm not invited!) so I'm assuming the store will be open to public by early December. With Topshop expected to open in Sydney in December as well, there's so much to look forward to before Christmas!

Lover Serpent Lace Dress

WANT. I honestly can't afford it since I recently acquired the AWang Rocco. Also, I really can't justify spending that much on a dress that I probably won't get much wear out of. As much as I love it and didn't want to take it off my body in the change room, I should spend that money on something more practical. If only this dress was in store before my 21st....

I seem to be taking over this blog with all my posts. M where are you?

Minty Meets Munt shirt, Lover shorts, Unknown cardigan, Ferragamo shoes, YSL clutch

Today consisted of a fail study session at my local library and a nice long dinner and dessert with J, where we talked about people we would or would not date. I find that whenever I go to restaurants I always order the same dishes. Say for tonight, we had Thai and as usual we ordered our default chicken pad see yew and massaman beef curry. I'm not sure why we never order anything different, maybe it's because we don't like to deviate from the norm. The waffles with strawberry and white chocolate was delish but I think the ones we make at M's house comes pretty damn close - ice magic does the trick.

Anyways, I've been on a hunt for nice comfortable flats for everyday and was advised by a customer yesterday to try Bloch ballet flats. I've read lots of positive reviews on Bloch from Vogue but never had the time to physically go to a Bloch store to try it. Hopefully they will have the right shade of nude when I eventually decide to pay it a visit...

C. #5

This is what my monthly pay goes towards. Should really learn to save but it's so hard when there's pretty things screaming "buy me!" whenever I walk into a shop. I also have the tendency to buy things that are one size bigger - this mainly happens when I'm at a sale and only the bigger sizes are left. I don't want to walk out empty handed so I end up purchasing a bigger size and hope that miraculously it will fit well on my body or that I can wear it oversized and look cool.
